Half Hull Trophies?

Postby PaulP » Thu Apr 07, 2005 8:49 pm

Does anyone have a source for the small cast acrylic half hull EC12 models to make trophies?

It appears that Rex Weedom (Spinnaker Products -Tucson) has gone out of business. Are there other sources?

Paul

You might try to contact Bill Coates at the Charleston MYC for help with your project.

For several years Bill has made beautiful wooden half models for trophies. My thinking is that if you can get Bill to make you a a "trophy" hull (I think he has more than one size) you could make your own mold. Shucks Bill may even offer to make you a mold instead of a half model.

The worst that would happen is for him to say no. But that is not like the Bill I know, He would bust his (**&%$ to help the class.
