Launch and Recovery

Postby Judd Morgan » Sat Oct 11, 2003 8:04 pm

Where I sail we have a 2 to 3-foot cement seawall. I would welcome suggestions for a cart/wagon for foot transportation and launch and recovery.
Thanks, Judd

Problem solved. Launches are no big deal, just put the bow in the water and push it out. For recovery I use a folding luggage cart. I covered it with duct tape so it won’t scratch. Just lower the cart into the pond and float the boat over it and pull up. The wheels ride along the seawall. I then lift it off the cart and onto its cradle. Cart doubles for transportation, from the parking lot to the pond. The cradle fits on it sideways. No problem if I’m the only one on the sidewalk. [8D]
Hope to get some sailing in today 70 degrees. Snow on Monday, [:(]

Hi Judd, on the EC12WEB I found a clever strap idea that seems to have simple but great merit for launch and recovery. to view follow this link http://www.proefrock.net/EC12Web/images ... eStrap.jpg
