i notice on most of the usa sites,most of the ec12 not fitt
ed or using a main sheet post ?is there some advantage to this practice ?i would of thought the lenth of cord from deck to boom
would be a disadvantage.

I personally like using a post as it seems to give you a more precise control over the boom position. It's technique, some people like it some don't. I don't like the way it looks... I think it detracts from the boat, but I do like the control.

Not all of my boats have them, it is just one more thing to fit to the boat, and at this point I chose between staying home and fitting one or going to the lake... it is so rare that I see the water I am going to lake!
